1.6.   Scoring:

1.6.1.

Provisional points at a Championship Round shall be scored on the  basis of the following formula:

                                                1.00 - (time achieved - bogey time)                   x  10.00

                                                                        bogey time

The competitor with the highest provisional points score shall then bemawarded 10.00 Championship points.

Other competitors’   Championship points will be derived from the above as follows:

                                    Individual Competitors’s own provisional score x  10.00

                                                Best provisional score

The competitor with the highest provisional points shall then be awarded 10.00 Championship points.
Other competitors’ Championship points will be derived from the above as follows:
Where bogey times shall be the best time recorded in previous seasons for the Championship class at the course, to the nearest hundredth of a second, except that the class bogey will be a
ssessed by the Technical Committee to adjust where necessary to make them relevant to the current competitors. In the case of a course new to the Championship, bogey times shall be calculated from the times recorded at the first event, for the following season. Where Championship classes are not represented at a new course, new bogey times may be extrapolated from the other classes, for the following season. In the case of existing courses where bogey times have not been recorded for certain classes, new bogey times may be extrapolated from those recorded from other classes, for the current season. In the case of an existing class bogey time being beaten in the current season by a competitor entered in a class having a lower nomenclature (as defined in 3.2 of these regulations), a new bogey time may be extrapolated from the other classes, for the following season. All extrapolated new bogey times to be superseded by lower actual times recorded, for the following season.
In the case of an existing course which has been modified and the new timings do not vary by more than 25% , then the current bogeys will be used. The new class course times recorded will be used as the bogeys for the following season. Where the new times exceed 25 %, then the course will be classified as a new course.

1.6.2. The best five scores shall constitute the competitor’s Championship result and the competitor with the best overall score for five events shall be the Championship winner for the year. In the event of a tie, the sixth best result achieved will be used to resolve the tie and so on.

1.6.3. Championship Points Appeal – Section O para 6.3.1, current MSA Yearbook, applies.

1.7.   Awards:

1.7.1. Trophies shall be awarded to the First, Second and Third placed competitors overall at the end of the season.

Second in class trophies shall be awarded, subject to a minimum of five registered competitors in the class having completed at least one round, if no other prize winners.

The best placed Lady at the end of the season will be given an award, subject to a minimum of three having registered and completed at least one round.

No competitor may win more than one overall or class award.

Other discretionary awards may be presented from time to time.

If after the thirteenth round in the season, there are insufficient competitors contending in a class to warrant a class award (all having completed at least one round), then the class may be amalgamated with a similar “state of tune” class. This will be at the discretion of the Championship Co-ordinator, who will inform those affected without undue delay.

1.7.2. There will be no cash awards. Trophies for the Championship shall be awarded for the current season, excepting discretionary awards 1.7.1.
